Reading bar codes is a breeze with the new ProTracer CCD bar code gun.
The proTracer is rugged, very cost-effective and really is a "plug and play" device.
Simply connect to your computer and you're ready to read bar codes.
To read a code, you just point and click. The barcode data is sent to the computer just like you typed it at the keyboard, but a hundred times faster and a thousand times more accurate!
You don't need special software to use the ProTracer. It will send data to any application that accepts text entry.
The extensive user guide contains a range of special configuration bar codes which will help you to set up the scanner just as you want it. Send a 'tab' or 'return' character after each bar code scan? No problem, just scan the appropriate bar code in the user guide.
The ProTracer is available in a number of options:
PS/2 connection for use with a PC
USB connections for use with newer Macs and PCs
ADB connection for use with older Macs

The Cobra connects directly into a spare keyboard socket on your computer, so any bar codes that you read are sent to any application just like you entered the data manually.
Using the configuration barcodes in the user guide, you can set up the Cobra to send a tab or return after each read. It can bet set to ignore or verify certain code types and check or translate data. The operational features of the scanner can also be re-configured in this way.
Laser Scanner - reads at a distance
Connects via USB, PS/2 or ADB connections
Needs no extra software
Reads directly into any program
Stand included for hands free operation
Scans all popular bar code types
The Cobra is engineered for continuous, heavy usage all day, every day and has been tested to withstand multiple 5 ft./1.5m drops to concrete. The patented single board construction eliminates a common point of failure—the interconnection between multiple boards, and the liquid polymer scan element delivers integral shock protection to further ensure reliable operation. Scratch-resistant tempered glass helps preserve bar code scanning accuracy. Integrated multiple interfaces, universal cable compatibility and support for emerging symbologies provide the investment protection you need to help ensure that the scanner you buy today will work with the system you use tomorrow.
Durable construction: single board construction; meets Symbol's stringent 5 ft. drop tests; scratch-resistant tempered glass exit window Designed for continuous usage all day, every day; significantly reduces downtime and repair costs
High performance 1D linear scanner Accurate first time scanning; always ready for the next scan; increased productivity resulting in shorter check-out lines and better customer service
Wide working range: contact to 17 in./43 cm on 100% UPC/EAN symbols
Multiple interfaces: RS232, USB, KBW (keyboard wedge), Wand, IBM 468X/9X, Synapse and Undecoded in one scanner - simplifies installation and integration.
Ergonomic, lightweight design. Reduces user fatigue with sleek, balanced form for maximum user comfort and productivity.
Hands-free stand enables presentation scanning and easy switching between hands-free and handheld modes.
